Tommy (April 1, 2012)

Thomas Benjamin,

Little one,

Herald of a new generation

Of sons and saints

Of moniker Dorsey,

Welcome to your eternal family.

Though to you the wait

Was not measured in time

Your parents awaited anxiously

Your arrival from realms afar.

Now you rest in their arms,

All bundled in cotton and love

And wonder as mortal eyes and ears

Marvel at the magic of the mundane

That makes this earthly sphere

The place you will know as home.

Though you will soon fully forget

Your heavenly home,

You will re-learn of a Father and Son

Who love you

And yearn for your return.

Born into an eternal family

With parents wise and loving

You will grow with faith

In truths and guiding principles.

May you ever look

To all that is good and right

And find joy and peace

In obedience to parents

Mortal and heavenly

And love for God and all His children.
